New Technique Discovered for building folder structure!

For those of us (photographers, techs, and other post production professionals) who have been looking for an easy and effective way of duplicating a folder template, here is a cheap and easy way.  Lets say you have everything nice and organized around your raw images and would like for your jpegs or tiffs to match that structure but don't want to waste 10 minutes at the end of every shooting session to copy and paste your names.

Using Adobe's free DNG  Converter, you can very quickly build out a copy of the folders without their contents.

Step 1. Start organized with your raws:Step 1

Step 2. Launch DNG Converter and point field 1 to your folder of raws, and field 2 to your "processed" folder.  Make SURE "Include images contained within subfolders" IS selected, as well as "Preserve subfolders"! Those two things are key.Step 2

Step 3. Once the queue appears simply click "Stop Conversion" and then "Quit". Delete any actual DNG or raw files that you don't need.

Step03

Step 4. Now that you have an empty template you can start moving your processed files into their respective folders.  Once done your raw image directory and your processed image directory should match up perfectly.

It will work the same in Tiger or Leopard.  I hope this proves as useful for others as it has for me, but please share any improvements or concerns you guys have.
